Yesteday it snowed all day. Today the sun is shining, there is a beautiful blue sky and the snow is beautiful. We have quite a winter wonderland.

January 30, 2010 Game Time

It's been snowing all day. What is a family to do but stay in and play games and eat comfort foods. We played Apples To Apples tonight after dinner. Everyone had a good time and oh I won by the way!

January 28, 2010 Snow Is In The Forecast

What do you do when snow is in the forecast. Why you go to the grocery store of course. They are forecasting big snow for the weekend. I didn't want to be in the store with the rest of the town tomorrow so I went tonight. After handbell practice I headed to the store for staples - you know diet coke and stuff.

January 27, 2010 Step By Step

Stairs are climbed step by step. Isn't that so true. The only way to reach the top is to start on the fist step and keep on climbing

I worked in a different office today. This is a lovely old building which houses one of our offices.

So this is the control panel on the driver's side of the van. The driver's window works when it wants to and other times it just doesn't. So far in 2010 it has worked every single time I have tried. And I have to lower it everytime I go into the parking deck at work. It's always a risk lowering it in case it gets stuck but it never has. Well there have been a few times where you have to push the button while you're closing the door to get it to work. But usually if it's not going to work then it won't go down.

We really have looked into getting it fixed. They would have to take the door panel off to see if it is the motor or the switch so we haven't decided to do that yet.

But hey, it's paid for!

January 25, 2010 Clip-Ons

I haven't worn earrings in probably 20 years. I have been contemplating getting my ears pierced again after letting them close many years ago. Today I had an hour to wander the mall between appointments. I walked by the earring place, paused briefly, then decided no.

So instead I went into the Macy's and looked at clip-on earrings. I think I have purchased one pair of clip-on earrings in my life. I bought 2 inexpensive pair.

When I got home CG wanted some clip-ons. Since they were out of school today we went back to the mall. We found some teenagery clip-ons at Clarie's. I was surprised.

Anyway I'm throwing myself into clip-ons - well as much as one can throw themselves into clip-ons. I've been googling how to convert pierced earrings into clip-ons.

Ah - a new adventure.
